Business Plans Online
Thinking of starting a new business? Business Plans cover a wide range of real life plans for starting nearly 300 enterprises, each plan includes startup expenses, a description of products and services, sales forecasts, growth strategies, financial summaries and marketing tactics. All business plans can be viewed and printed as a web page or PDF document

Reference USA - Look up addresses by street or area, examine demographic info, build a mailing list by income. Find millions of personal and business addresses. Reference USA has 120 million records on U.S. households and 12 million records on U.S. businesses. Search records by name, location, size, yellow page heading or SIC code.

Business Source Premier
contains over 3,600 full text business journals, magazines, books and newspapers. It also has SWOT Analysis, white papers on business issues, and helps users research items such as economic or country analyses, investigate market trends or potential, and find current competitive information or landscape analysis information. Business Reference Collection
The business reference collection is housed in the Barbara Wright Business Center located on  the first floor balcony of the library. Topics covered by the business reference collection include statistics and demographics, personal finance and investing, business law, human resources, company information, office equipment, marketing, products and services, e-business, business taxes, franchises, home-based businesses and more. Materials include company, product, and equipment directories; business and special subject encyclopedias and dictionaries, handbooks and manuals; and buying guides. A variety of formats are represented in the collection, including bound volumes, loose-leaf subscription services, videos, CD-ROMs, and electronic databases.

Business Training Video Collection
The Business Center has many excellent training videos on a variety of human resources topics, as well videos that can be used to improve management, sales, and office skills. Some videos include a trainer's guide and employee workbooks. Videos can be checked out for two weeks. The library has obtained rights from publishers of the videos that allow companies to show them to groups of employees.

Business Software Collection
The Business Center has a continually changing array of new business software that may be checked out or used in the library for preview purposes. Software topics include: creating employee handbooks; electronic checks; Microsoft program tutorials; business forms; business letters; financial forecasting; Web site creation; electronic business; business plans; legal documents; and more.

Business Direct Corporate Library Card Program (see our Business Direct Brochure)

When you participate in the Business Direct program for area businesses, the library will issue your business a corporate library card that will be kept on file at the library. Designated staff at your business will then be able to check out materials-including books, videos, audio books on tape and CD, software for previewing, and training videos-for business use whenever they are needed. These materials are ideal for continuing education, staff training, and professional development.

Your Business Direct account will also allow your staff to access the library's business databases via the library's Web site. As a part of the program, you may request a demonstration of the library's electronic resources that are available from the library's Web site, at your business or at the library. They include the library's online catalog, the Reference USA online business directory and online databases of full-text business and trade journals, periodicals, and regional newspapers. Business Computers
The Business Center has computers for database and Internet business and marketing research. The Information Services staff is available to give an overview of the databases and also to show how to access the databases from the office or home.

Personal Finance Station
The Personal Finance Station puts the tools that help you manage your personal portfolio-- including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds-- at your fingertips. Sources include: Value Line, Weiss Ratings Guides (TheStreet.com) for Stock Mutual Funds, Bond and Money Market Mutual Funds, Brokerage Firms, Banks and Thrifts; and other financial reference sources.
