Lycoming County residents now have up-to-date, trusted information on over 23,000 mutual funds and 7,000 stocks available to them online with their library or
eCard. The library version offers access to many popular premium features of Morningstar.com, including research and independent opinions on thousands of mutual funds, stocks, and exchange-traded funds, and also the same concise reports that are found in the printed Morningstar Mutual Funds. Available NOW on the ebranch
and on the Personal Finance Station in the Library.

PA Wilds Resource Center
The pupose of the PA Wilds Resource Center is to keep residents informed about the community revitalization efforts going on around the region, and to make it easier for them to participate.
This site has three sections. “About PA Wilds” includes background on the Pennsylvania Wilds initiative and information on its related programs, such as how to join the Artisan Trail, sign up for the Word on the Wilds newsletter or order free copies of the Design Guide.
PA Wilds counties
The “Business Assistance” section is designed to foster small business growth. It includes a database of loans, grants and technical assistance programs available to small tourism businesses in each county of the PA Wilds. It also includes free business classifieds and tips and stories from around the region so entrepreneurs can learn 'best practices' from one another.
The “Community Assistance” section, includes resources available to communities to promote smart, sustainable tourism growth. This section highlights community projects going on around the PA Wilds.
Business
Reference Collection
The business reference collection is housed in the
Barbara Wright Business Center. Topics covered by the business reference
collection include statistics and demographics, personal finance and investing,
business law, human resources, company information, office equipment, marketing,
products and services, e-business, business taxes, franchises, home-based businesses
and more. Materials
include company, product, and equipment directories; business and special subject
encyclopedias and dictionaries, handbooks and manuals; and buying guides. A variety
of formats are represented in the collection, including bound volumes, loose-leaf
subscription services, videos, CD-ROMs, and electronic databases.
Business Training Video Collection The
Business Center has many excellent training videos on a variety of human resources
topics, as well videos that can be used to improve management, sales, and office
skills. Some videos include a trainer's guide and employee workbooks. Videos can
be checked out for two weeks. The library has obtained rights from publishers
of the videos that allow companies to show them to groups of employees. Business
Software Collection The
Business Center has a continually changing array of new business software that
may be checked out or used in the library for preview purposes. Software topics
include: creating employee handbooks; electronic checks; Microsoft program tutorials;
business forms; business letters; financial forecasting; Web site creation; electronic
business; business plans; legal documents; and more. Business Reference Service

our Business
Direct Brochure) When
you participate in the Business Direct program for area businesses, the library
will issue your business a corporate library card that will be kept on file at
the library. Designated staff at your business will then be able to check out
materials-including books, videos, audio books on tape and CD, software for previewing,
and training videos-for business use whenever they are needed. These materials
are ideal for continuing education, staff training, and professional development.
Your Business
Direct account will also allow your staff to access the library's business databases
via the library's Web site. As a part of the program, you may request a demonstration
of the library's electronic resources that are available from the library's Web
site, at your business or at the library. They include the library's online catalog,
the Reference USA online business directory and online databases of full-text
business and trade journals, periodicals, and regional newspapers. To inquire

Business Computers The Business Center has computers for
database and Internet business and marketing research. The Information
Services staff is available
to give an overview of the databases and also to show how to access the databases
from the office or home. Personal Finance Station The
Personal Finance Station puts the tools that help you manage your personal
portfolio-- including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds-- at your fingertips.
