Storytime
We now offer three different "BABY times. You
can join the the bouncing and bobbing at this wonderful storytimes series from
birth to 12 months old. Children's brains develop so fast in their first year
that it is the perfect time to start a tradition of reading and sharing books.
This program runs in a five(5) week series. Contact the Youth Services Department
to register. See ourSchedule

Storytime
is a wonderful opportunity to share your love of reading and books with your
child. We encourage parents to take any children who are restless or noisy out
to the hallway until they are ready to rejoin the storytime. We would also like
to ask parents to refrain from chatting or using cell phones during the storytime.
We appreciate your cooperation and consideration for the other audience members
and the storytime presenter. Thank you. |

Books Ever wonder why a board book is made of cardboard? Because babies
like to tear and chew, of course. The library knows that reading is one of
the most important things you can do with your baby and that babies love to touch and pull
and taste the world around them. So, we have a great collection of board books
made just for you and your baby. Stop in and "check them out!" |

B.A.B.Y. Program in Lycoming County
Each year there are about 1,500 babies born in Lycoming County. Through this program with the cooperation of our area hospitals, a packet containing brochures, a shirt, a book, bookmarks and more is given to the family of each newborn. This is our way of encouraging new parents to share the joy of reading with their baby and share their bundle of joy with the library.
Learn how you can help support the Books and
Baby Program
The James V. Brown Library would like to thank Masonic Lodge 106 of Williamsport, PA for a grant in 2007 to support the
Books and
Baby's Program. This grant will help the library by providing over 200
Baby Packs to families in our community. |
